The charger has a 4-stage charging and maintenance program:

3. ABSORPTION: The charger gradually reduces the charging rate, providing a gentle "tickle" charge to avoid overheating.

4. FLOAT: The charger maintains the battery, periodically checking the voltage and restarting the charging cycle if needed.
